What kinds of files can MD Browser open?
MD Browser is designed for Markdown files and Markdown-heavy project folders, including README trees, notes, changelogs, and generated documentation.
Does MD Browser upload my files anywhere?
No. MD Browser reads files you choose locally on your Mac. It does not upload your document contents to Shrugsoft servers.
Why does the app ask for file access?
Because it is a sandboxed Mac app, MD Browser only reads files and folders you explicitly choose. That is how it stays compatible with the Mac App Store while still opening your docs.
What should I include in a bug report?
Please include your macOS version, the MD Browser version, what folder or file flow you were using, and what you expected to happen. Screenshots are always appreciated. They are worth a thousand words, and about three thousand fewer follow-up emails.
