Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 9, 2026

Introduction

Shrugsoft ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our applications and services.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, transmit to Shrugsoft, or store your personal information on our servers. Our apps are designed to be self-contained and operate primarily on your device.

Contact Form

If you use the contact form on our website, we collect the information you provide (name, email, subject, and message) solely to respond to your inquiry. This information is sent to us via email and is not stored in a database. We do not use this information for marketing purposes or share it with third parties.

Local Storage

Our apps may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Account credentials or tokens for connected third-party services (stored securely using your device's secure storage)
  • Data imported from connected services (stored locally for display and app features)
  • Sync state (e.g., which items have been imported/exported)
  • App preferences and settings

This information is stored on your device and is not transmitted to Shrugsoft.

Advertising (If Applicable)

Some of our apps may display advertisements. If ads are present, our advertising partners may collect certain information to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. This may include:

  • Device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or Android Advertising ID)
  • IP address
  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • General location information (approximate, not precise)
  • Ad interaction data (which ads were shown, clicked, etc.)

This information is collected by our advertising partners, not by us directly. We do not have access to the specific data collected by ad networks. If ads are present in an app, we will disclose which advertising networks are used in that app's description or settings.

Your options: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization

Third-Party Integrations

Some Shrugsoft applications may integrate with third-party services (such as fitness platforms, device ecosystems, or content providers) at the user's request. When an integration is available, users must explicitly authorize access to their account with the third-party service before any data is accessed.

Access is limited to the data required to provide the requested functionality. Users can revoke authorization at any time through the third-party service's account settings or within the application, depending on the integration.

The specific data types accessed depend on the integration and are limited to what the user authorizes during the connection process.

Example: Garmin Connect Integration (Some Apps)

Some Shrugsoft apps may integrate with Garmin Connect to help users keep their activity history consolidated in Garmin. If an app offers a Garmin integration, you will be asked to explicitly authorize the connection before any Garmin data is accessed.

What we access: Depending on the features you enable and what you authorize during the connection process, the app may access basic activity/workout information (such as activity type, start time, duration, distance, and related metadata) and may upload user-initiated activity files to your own Garmin Connect account.

How we use it: Garmin data is used only to provide the requested functionality inside the app (for example, displaying your activity history or uploading a workout to your Garmin account). We do not use Garmin data for advertising, population-level analytics, or profiling, and we do not sell or share Garmin data with third parties.

Storage and transmission: Where supported by the app, data is transferred directly between your device and Garmin using official APIs and is not stored or processed on Shrugsoft servers.

Revoking access: You can revoke an app’s access to Garmin at any time through your Garmin account settings. If the app also provides an in-app disconnect option, you can use that as well.

How Integrations Work

When you connect a third-party service, the app communicates directly with that service using its official APIs to:

  • Authenticate your account
  • Download or import data to your device
  • Upload or export data from your device (only if you enable that feature)

These connections are made directly from your device to the third-party service. We do not intercept, store, or have access to the content of this data in transit.

Use of Data from Integrations

Data accessed through third-party integrations is used solely to provide features within the specific application you are using, such as displaying history, summaries, or personal insights.

Shrugsoft does not sell, rent, or use integration data for advertising, population-level analytics, or profiling. Integration data is not shared with other parties except as necessary to deliver the user-requested functionality.

For example, an app may access activity or workout data from a connected platform to display training summaries.

How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information because we do not collect it on our servers. All data processing happens locally on your device. Our apps use locally stored data solely to provide app functionality, such as:

  • Authenticating with connected services on your behalf
  • Downloading or importing data from connected services
  • Transforming or converting data into formats supported by the app
  • Uploading or exporting data to connected services (if enabled)

We do not track your usage, analyze your behavior, or collect analytics data unless an app explicitly states otherwise. If an app uses analytics or crash reporting, it will disclose that in the app or its listing.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information because we do not collect it on our servers. Data used by our apps generally remains on your device.

The only data transmission that may occur is:

  • Direct connections from your device to connected third-party services (for authentication and data transfer)
  • If ads are present: connections to advertising networks (see Advertising section above)

These connections are made directly from your device to these services. We do not act as an intermediary and have no access to the content of the data being transmitted (except that ad networks may collect data as described in the Advertising section).

Note about ads: If our apps display advertisements, advertising networks may collect and share data as described in their own privacy policies. We do not control what ad networks do with this data. You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (see Advertising section above).

Data Security

Since data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information depends on your device's security measures. Our apps use your device's secure storage (such as iOS Keychain or Android Keystore) to store credentials or tokens. Data used for app features may be stored in the app's local storage.

We recommend:

  • Keeping your device's operating system updated
  • Using device-level security features (passcodes, biometrics)
  • Reviewing the security practices and privacy policies of any third-party services you connect to

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal information on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. Data is stored locally on your device, and you have full control over it:

  • You can delete the app at any time, which will remove all locally stored data
  • You can clear app data through your device's settings
  • You control what data is shared with connected third-party services through your direct authentication with those services

If you have questions about data stored by a third-party service you connected, please contact that service directly.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
